June 27, 2023: Meta Platforms announced today that its WhatsApp Business has crossed 200 million active users, up from 50 million users in 2020. The company added that starting from today, WhatsApp Business users will be able to create Facebook and Instagram ads without a Facebook account. The business will only need to have an email adress and a form of payment. WhatsApp also announced a new paid messaging feature that will enable small businesses to reach customers more efficiently.
