These freelancers because they help maintain the quality of the platform. The more they are, the higher the quality of Upwork platform. According to Upwork, top rated freelancers alone represent 10% of the top freelancers in the platform. That would be around 1,000,000. However, the searchable number of high quality is what matters the most as these are the most active freelancers in the platform.
